Pi-Cetal (Eroctal)

POM resins are crystalline thermoplastic engineering plastics known for their outstanding sliding properties, toughness, and fatigue resistance. POM resins come in two varieties: homopolymers?[?CH2O?]n?consisting solely of chains of formaldehyde monomers, and copolymers?[[?CH2O?]p/[?CH2CH2O?]q]n?containing oxyethylene units formed from trioxane.

  • These resins offer the greatest room-temperature durability of all non-reinforced engineering plastics.They are ideal materials for components subjected to long-term loading or repeated loading.
  • These materials possess durability, creep resistance, and the ability to withstand gasoline contact. These qualities make them highly suitable for manufacturing various automobile components, including fuel-pump modules that supply purified fuel to engines through filters inside vehicle fuel tanks, motor gears for doors, windshield wipers, and seats, as well as window regulators responsible for the movement of windows up and down.
  • These resins are selected for medical equipment due to their exceptional durability, dimensional stability, and sliding properties, especially under high loads. They are commonly used in applications such as liquid-sending components in transfusion pump guides and lancets for collecting small-volume blood samples for blood-sugar analysis.

  • Product Processing

    The most common processing method for POM is injection molding, although other techniques such as extrusion, Blow molding, Compression molding and CNC Machining can also be employed.
